Services begin with an understanding of your lifestyle and needs. Thereafter it is based on observation of plant health and land patterns.
For all services listed, a verbal consultation is provided. Requests can be made at the end of the consultation to receive a written report further detailing a specific topic or set of topics.
Any form of consultation can be adjusted to meet your individual needs. Below are a few examples of what is offered.
Healthy Plant Package
An onsite visit to discuss plant health, resource conserving design options, plant choices, nutrition recommendations and any plant questions you have. During this visit, you, the client, is prepared to take notes, provide magazine clippings of plant preferences, or compile any questions to facilitate the meeting effectively. If desired, a more thorough report can be created to detail nutritional needs, recommendations, insect treatments, tea preparations, plant selections or any other plant topics you might like a more in depth report on.
Healthy Gardener Package
For those who want their gardener(s) educated on organic gardening techniques. This can include organic fertilizer and pest control applications. Many controls are done through cultural changes (i.e. less water, more mulch), biocontrols (releasing insects to control other insects), and proper use of slow release fertilizers and organic pesticides with regard to rates and timing. Many gardeners have not yet discovered the safe and effective tools available and where to purchase them.
Permaculture Design
For those interested in exploring and implementing permaculture design elements in their landscape. This can include proper sighting for various garden elements, plant grouping, plant selection, spacing, timing, and function stacking.
